The team is captained by Gautam Gambhir.he born 14 October 1981,in Delhi. Gambhir had been a prolific run-scorer in indian home cricket with an average of over 50 but his and made  two successive double-hundreds i.e. (200) in 2002.he is the mostly permanant opener from the indian team.He became only the fourth Indian batsman to score a double century. He is only one batsman of  Indian  to score more than 300 runs in four consecutive Test serie.also the only Indian, and one of only four international cricketers, to have scored five hundreds in five consecutive test matches. he playe 27  test Matches Runs 2,553,94  Runs 3,107  odi,fc 109 runs 9,461.
